What’s up – 10.28.2019
Wow…hard to believe that it has been almost two months since my last ‘what’s up’ post. I have been busy mostly doing charity quilts and getting the garden ready for the winter. Today we had a high of 38 degrees. Brrrr !!! We should be around 52.
Here is a snapshot of the finished Habitat #4. I will be showing you the full quilt in a separate post.
This is the shoo-fly block which is Quiltville’s Leader Ender challenge for 2019-2020. The center squares have been chosen and I am working on sewing the pieces together. OMG…the half square triangles will finish at 1-1/2″.
This is my third crocheted baby afghan. Fun to have a small project to work when you need a break from quilting. Light blue with navy accent.
The center of my medallion wall hanging is done. I used black, brown and beige broken dish blocks. Wow…so many seams coming together in a small 3″ finished block.
I am making two quilts with the same birds and flowers collection of fabrics. One quilt has the bird fabric in the center and the other the flowers. I then reverse the fabrics for the borders. I think the stripe really add a zip to the look. The charity quilt tops are done but still need to make the backings and binding strips.
I am working on making quarter log cabin blocks using the same collection of black, white, grey and yellow fabrics that I used for my ‘Bumble Bee’ quilt. My plan is to do this as a ‘quilt as you go’ project. Wish me luck !
How are your projects coming along ?
