Wow…it has been awhile since the last time I did a ‘what’s up’ post. The good news is that most of the projects I was working on are now complete. Of course, I had to start a couple more.
This small quilt is done and I will do a separate post to show it.
This charity quilt is also done. I even have prepared the backing and binding.
I started working with a collection of black, white, grey and yellow fabrics. I am using Film in the Fridge’s 2×4 quilt tutorial although I changed the size of the strips to 2-1/2″ and then cross cut at 4-1/2″ because I wanted a square block instead of rectangle one.
Over the past few years ago, I made Twin City 12 Patch and Antique Tile using the Habitat fabric collection by Bernatex (plus stash). I still have LOTS of fabric leftover. As you can see, the colors palette is limited and a little challenging to use. Most of the fabrics have grey, black, cream/white, greens with a couple of them that have a touch of teal. My game plan is to try to find patterns/ideas to make a couple of fun quilts. The easiest pattern I am thinking will work is a simple rail fence blocks. At some point I will probably do some shopping in my stash and see if I can bring another color or fabric(s).
How are your projects coming along?
