Do you follow Bonnie Hunter’s blog? If you like making scrappy quilts – you should. Each year she creates a challenge block for us to make (no rules, no timeframes) using her leader ender process. 2018 Quiltville’s Leader Ender challenge was to make half square triangles and four patches. Bonnie’s layout used them to make star blocks.
It is never too late to join the fun. The next challenge doesn’t start until the first of July. Check here for more information. She has a very nice tutorial that you can print out.
I decided to switch up the block slightly. Some of my blocks have the HST’s positioned so that the color is in the center of the block and sometimes in the corners. Same thing with the four patches. I was able to create some nice diagonal lines. Here is my 48 x 64 quilt ‘Orient’.
We got more snow (UGH !!) this past weekend. It looks pretty but the snow was very heavy to shovel. I will be glad when spring finally arrives.
Check out my ‘Linky Parties’ page to find some fabulous blogs where I share my projects and get inspiration.
