2016 Rainbow Scrap Challenge
In 2016, I participated in So Scrappy’s Rainbow Scrap challenge. If you are not familiar with the challenge there is a button on the right hand column to link to Angela’s blog where you can find more information. She is hosting the challenge again this year – you can still join all of the scrappy fun.
Here is my finished 59″ x 69″ quilt top. YAHOO !

Linking up with So Scrappy and Quilting is more fun than housework.
How are your projects coming along?

Wow! It’s gorgeous!

That quilt turned out so beautiful and I love seeing that you put a peiced border on it. I think the border on a quilt is so important. If we are going to piece the middles then we should piece or applique’ the border to finish it off. That is what I say. Beautiful, beautiful quilt!D

Oh, my gosh!! Micki, this is fabulous! The colors look so pretty against that wood, too – for the longest time I was thinking “That is some really cool woodgrain fabric, too.” 😀 So glad you linked it up at BOMs Away!

I love this! Your colors are beautiful, and the quilt design has great movement to it.

What a wonderful quilt top. Having the same background really makes secondary designs appear. It is so neat! Plus your piano key border really sets it off. Great job!

Debbie, thanks for the kind words. My photo isn’t the best but I did use around 25 different beige background fabrics in the quilt. Most of them tone on tone or have with small designs. Hard to tell unless you are closeup. Micki

The quilt is very striking. The piano key border is just the right match for the blocks. Congratulations.

Your simple little blocks made such a pretty quilt! Really nice job. So glad you shared with Oh Scrap!

Oh wow, that looks so good. It took me a while to realise you had alternated dark and light centres and the varied numbers of colour blocks just make it work so well. I recently made a much smaller version for a friend where people wrote in the cream centre. I might have to make one of these for myself. Yours looks wonderful and the piano border really sets it off well.
