Quiltville 2019 Leader Ender
Do you know Bonnie Hunter and her Quiltville blog? If you don’t, you have to check her out here. Every summer she does a leader ender challenge. The shoo fly block was the challenge for 2019. This isn’t a race….just sew these blocks in between doing your other quilting. Well, I made a bunch of these cute 6″ finished blocks and used a skinny sashing to make my quilt.

Depending on how you look at the quilt you either see the shoo fly blocks or squares and a split rotated square looking block. What do you see in this closeup?

How are your projects coming along? Check out my ‘Linky Parties’ page to find some fabulous blogs where I share my projects and get inspiration.

Congrats on getting your Leader/Ender challenge together! I have thought I might participate one of these years, but it hasn’t happened yet. Yours is a beautiful scrappy creation!

I definitely know Bonnie Hunter. I’ve take a couple of classes from her and made severeal of her quilts. (Including 2 that have become UFOs! Boo me!) I really like you shoo fly quilt. I don’t know why I didn’t do that last year but I’ve been making Easy Breazy blocks this year. I like your thin sashing — it sets off the shoo flies really well.
