What’s up – 6.15.19

I have made great progress with both of my projects even though I have been spending more time in the garden than quilting.

Bumble Bee – I have 63 of these simple blocks completed and now I need to decide on the layout. You can get more info on the pattern that I am using here.

Habitat #1 – have a lot of these rail fence blocks made and have decided that I would use them for the center of a cracker jack block. The block is basically a rail fence block with triangles added to have it look like a rotated square. Angela Pingel has a great tutorial for the block.

I just had to share some of the first blooms of the summer. Don’t you just love the contrast between the rose colored flowers and the yellow green hosta?

These peach irises are the first to bloom each year. I now have lavender, purple and yellow ones blooming.

I have several peonies plants that range from the palest pink to dark burgundy. This plant was in my Mom’s garden and it always reminds me of her.

How are your projects coming along?
