BBB Stars
I have a pretty big collection of black, brown and beige fabrics. I used some of them to make these wonky star blocks. This quilt took forever to get done. I started making the star blocks back in October of 2016 and slowly completed them by June 2017. I used Cluck Cluck Sew’s tutorial to make the floating star blocks. But after sewing them together I couldn’t figure out what to do for borders so it went into a box waiting for inspiration. This past fall I decided to try to finish some of my UFO’s and pulled out the quilt top. With a little help from my quilty friends we were able to come up with a unique spin on a piano key border by adding a punch of rusty red.

How are your projects coming along?

That’s a great border for your stars! It took me a minute to figure out what “BBB” meant 🙂
