French Lilac

My goal this year is to try to finish some of my UFO’s. I started this quilt summer of 2012. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for a layout so I ended up setting them aside on the back burner. They got pulled out the following spring but to no avail. Didn’t get too far but decided that I would at least get the blocks sewn together into rows. With no border inspiration they ended up back on the shelf. Skip ahead four (really four years?) and I brought it out of time out (again). After pondering lots of layout options, I decided on what I wanted to do for the border. FINALLY the quilt top (56 x 74) is finished . Patience or perseverance? Feels good to be able to cross something off the UFO list.

The design is a simple rotated square in a square in purples, green and brown.
