Using the old stash 1: Woven
Back ages ago I collected a variety of woven fabrics. Here is the quilt ‘Plaid Comfort’ that I made using them.

I have been working for awhile on trying to make a dent in my old stash of fabrics (AKA Using the stash) so I took what was left of those fabrics, tossed in a bunch of other woven fabrics and made this quilt. Love the combination of colors. Love how the quilt turned out. Now…what do I do with the leftover fabric !?!

I used a pattern from the book ‘Tried and True’ by Sandy Bonsib. The final step in the instructions of ‘Nine Patch Nuance’ had you take a 6-1/2″ ruler and trim the block at a wonky angle. But I decided my blocks were busy enough so I just trimmed them to a constant size.

How neat both quilts look. I might have to pull out my leftover plaid fabrics too. (Yep, I have some too.) Yea for working from your stash.
