Spring flowers

Warning…warning….post has MANY photos of my garden. I just love this time of the year to be out in the garden. Nice weather, low humidity and the mosquitoes are not out in force yet. Yeah !

One of my many pink peony bushes.

I have a few peony bushes that have large dark rose flowers.

I really like my circular raised bed in the backyard – lots of place to put plants (please ignore weeds). There are a few empty spaces by the fence. My brother and I removed some old shrubs that were past their prime. I want to replace them with something that will have some winter interest but just not sure what.

I am not sure but I think the blue flowering plant is called ‘Ajuga’.

Ajugla?

Columbine has popped up all around the garden this year. Here are some purple columbine hiding among the hostas and peony bushes.

Purple Alliums showing off. I used to have couple dozen of white daffodils blooming next to the alliums but only one bloomed this year. Unfortunately, it didn’t get into the photo.
