20 Cottage Lane
I did some detective work on-line hunting for house blocks. Isn’t it great to find so much inspiration while sitting in your jammies. I narrowed it down to a few blocks but finally decided on this simple block that finishes at 5″x7″. Once I had the block design I needed to figure out the background color and door fabric. Originally I thought I would use the bright solids that I used in my Scrappy Summer 2015 #1 – Petals quilt for the doors but thought it might overwhelm the floral prints. I ended using the same grey dot fabric I used for the four patch background and setting triangles.
Yahoo! Scrappy Summer 2015 #2 – 20 Cottage Lane quilt top is done. It was a fun little quilt to make that finishes at 30″x42″.

I know that it is fall but I have one more small Scrappy Summer quilt that I am making with this collection of floral fabrics. It is made up of hexagons and triangles pieces. All of the pieces are currently on the design wall waiting to be sewn together. Come back again to see what it looks like.

Where can I find the details on how to make the houses? This looks so great that I’d love to make one for a gift. If you wouldn’t mind sharing I’d be really appreciative!
