Garden Photos
I have been working a lot in the garden. Moving some plants around and deciding on an idea I have for a brick pathway in my front yard. Unfortunately, more gardening = less quilting time. We received some much needed rain yesterday and will probably get a little more today. That leaves me inside doing housework, quilting and posting a blog (not necessarily in that order).
Here are some of the garden photos I took last week. The pink iris was the first one to bloom. I have several purple irises ranging from a soft lilac to a blue black purple that will probably be blooming in the next week or so.

A bright glorious ninebark shrub adds a some nice sparkle to a shady area of the garden.

Lovely yellow green variegated hosta are, unfortunately, in a location that gets a bit too much sun. Their bright colors will eventually wash out during the summer but I will keep them where they are and provide them alot of water. I love the contrast between them and the very dark green leaves of my peonies.

Newest garden purchase – a bright orange umbrella. If you look to the very center right edge you can see the peonies with the variegated hostas in front of them.

Red Husker Penstemon – looks like I had the flash on when I took the photo – my bad. I will show you the plant again once it is blooming.

Have a safe and Happy Memorial day.
