Design Wall Wednesday
The twelve ‘Gum Drops’ blocks are done – now I have to decide on sashing and borders. Here are four of the blocks.

To keep it simple, I am going to use only the solids fabrics in the skinny pieced insert in the sashing strips. Originally, I was going to add larger sashings and a more dramatically sized border but then decided that I really didn’t want the quilt to get too large. Still deciding on sizes but here is an idea of what I am looking at. The sashings and border fabric will be Kona Coal. I am not sure if the insert on the outside edge of the quilt will be the same or larger than the 1/2″ or 3/4″ I am using between the blocks. This is the plan today but not sure if it is the final plan.

Back in December I decided I wanted to make a delectable mountains quilt. Here are some of the fabrics I have chosen. Wow! Totally different look than the fabrics in ‘Gum Drops’.

We have had some technical issues with the blog in the past week. We discovered that many of the photos attached to older posts have disappeared. I am working on finding the old photos and getting them reattached to the posts. Thanks for your patience as this process might take awhile to finish.
