Design Wall Wednesday
Here is the beginning of my next quilt ‘ Gum Drops’. Aren’t the colors fabulous! Nice to work on spring like colors when the weather in Minnesota is SO COLD. This morning started off at minus 5 degrees and with the winds it felt like 25 to 30 degrees below zero. BRRRR….baby it is cold outside!

The inspiration was the ‘Rendezvous’ pattern in Karla Alexander’s book ‘Stack, Shuffle, and Slide. There a some great quilts in the book and the instructions are nicely written.
What are you working on today? Check out my ‘Linky Parties’ page to find some fabulous blogs where I share my projects and get inspiration.
Have a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR !

I love your fabric choices. Being a fellow Minnesotan enjoying the current cold weather, I can appreciate the fun colors. Can’t wait to see your quilt.

From one Minnesotan to another-I like what I see so far of this quilt! Bright colors for this dreary weather we have been having, thank goodness to see the sunshine yesterday 🙂

yeehaw! Love seeing bright cheerful colors! That looks like so much fun to make. AND you could quilt as you go as joining would be easy. I have those books and haven’t made a thing out of them yet. LeeAnna at not afraid of color

Thanks for the suggestion of doing it as QAYGO. I have made a couple quilts for charity using the method – but it has been awhile.
