Seems like forever since I posted anything. My full time job has taken over my life with a couple of HUGE projects. One is about 90% done and the other around 50%. Still have a ways to go but I decided that this past weekend I was going to do more quilting and less working on the projects. The center of Scrappy Summer #4 – ‘Rails’ has been put together for some time but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for a border. Here is a sneak peek of what I decided. Not sewn together yet but it gives you an idea. Nothing too spectacular but it will frame the center nicely.
The outer beige border will finish at 4-1/2″ but I oversized it a bit to allow for some trimming (if needed) after it is quilted. Are you are wondering what the heck are the little white squares? Those are labels I use so that I keep the pieces in order when I go to sew them together. Much easier/faster than taking down two pieces at a time. Keeps me organized.
