Wall Hanging
Wall Hanging

Since I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for the border on my nine patch block, I decided to look at some leftover strips sets from a quilt I made a few years ago. I was inspired by the pattern I purchased called ‘Bouillabaisse’ by Pie in the Sky Quilts. I liked the pattern but when I started putting the blocks together they looked WAY TOO BUSY. Instead, I moved them around and made ‘Squares’ a small quilt wall hanging you see on the left side of the photo. When you do angled strip sets you end up with the leftover edge pieces. Well…you know me…couldn’t let them go to waste. I added black around them and made ‘Pinwheels’ the other wall hanging in the photo. Even after using a lot of scraps I still had more but wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with them so I put them away for another day. Guess what….I dug them out yesterday and started to look for inspiration.
